17 Jul 12

Old Mutual Asset Management, the US-based asset management arm of Old Mutual, has appointed Pascal Vernaeve to the newly created role of head of Benelux sales.

Old Mutual Asset Management, the US-based asset management arm of Old Mutual, has appointed Pascal Vernaeve to the newly created role of head of Benelux sales.

The firm said the appointment is part of a wider strategy of building institutional distribution capabilities in key global markets to achieve “superior growth prospects” for its affiliates.

In his new role as head of Benelux sales, Vernaeve will focus on marketing the investment strategies of OMAM’s affiliates to institutional investors, consultants and platforms in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. Based in London he will report to Olivier Lebleu, head of non-US distribution at OMAM.

Prior to joining OMAM, Vernaeve was a manager for institutional clients covering Benelux institutions at Man Group.

“Benelux is an important region for our affiliates’ global expansion and Pascal’s strong investment acumen and granular knowledge of the region’s key players are huge assets for our team,” said Linda Gibson, OMAM’s head of global distribution. “I am extremely pleased with the progress of our global strategy to date and look forward to expanding our footprint into Asia, Australia and the Middle East.”
