Old Mutual Wealth has moved to strengthen its support for financial advisers in the UK with the appointment of Martin Clubbs as pensions specialist.

Old Mutual Wealth has moved to strengthen its support for financial advisers in the UK with the appointment of Martin Clubbs as pensions specialist.

Clubbs will be responsible for the development and growth of Old Mutual Wealth’s platform business, with particular focus on the individual pensions market.

“One of our key priorities has been to enhance our support for advisers to help them deliver excellent outcomes for their clients, particularly following the pension reforms in April. 2016,” said Scott Goodsir, managing director, UK distribution, Old Mutual Wealth.

A veteran of over 20 years in the pensions and investment industry, Clubb was previously strategic relationships manager at Scottish Widows where he was responsible for managing a team of business development managers and key adviser relationships for corporate pension business in the north of England.

The latest hire is part of Old Mutual Wealth’s drive to increase support for financial advisers following the UK pension reforms. This year it has doubled the size of its specialist support team to 16 from from 8 and employed 75 new members in its telephone contact centre.
