Abacus Financial Consultants
Dubai-based Abacus has appointed Jamie Fletcher from Globaleye.
Fletcher joins Abacus as a financial consultant after 10 months at Globaleye prior to which he has held advice roles at deVere and Nationwide, where he started his career.
His appointment follows the recent move of Globaleye recruitment director Lewis Greene, who also joined Abacus.
“Our plan is to expand this year and we are doing just that,” Greene told International Adviser. “Five weeks in I have hired Jamie Fletcher, a fully UK qualified financial consultant who is going to add tremendous value, I have a few more consultants waiting to join so it is really exciting times ahead.”
Northern Trust
Belinda Aspinall has been appointed head of global family office (GFO) Emea at Northern Trust, succeeding Lesley Hodgson who takes up a newly created role of wealth strategist and director of GFO for the Middle East.
Aspinall, who joined Northern Trust in 2005, was most recently head of the firm’s Guernsey office.
EY Ireland
Frank O’Keeffe will succeed Mike McKerr as managing partner of EY Ireland. Currently head of assurance O’Keeffe will assume his new role country managing partner on 1 July when McKerr will become country chair EY Ireland.
Westleton Drake
US/UK expat tax advisers Westleton Drake have appointed Sonya Drake as assistant director. She joins from accountants Dixon Wilson.
Westleton Drake have offices in the UK, Switzerland, Australia and the US.
Beazley
Specialist insurer Beazley has appointed Lucien Mounier to head its Asia Pacific operations.
He moves from Paris. Mounier will be based in Singapore working with Beazley Singapore’s principal officer, Byran Lee.
