Hermes Investment Management

David Stewart has been appointed chairman of the board, effective from 1 April 2016. He will replace Paul Spencer, who has acted as chairman since 2011.

Currently a non-executive director of Hermes, Stewart previously spent nine years at Odey Asset Management, initially as chief executive and latterly as a non-executive director. He is chairman of IMM Associates, a non-executive director of the Caledonia Investment Trust, and sits of the investment committee of MacMillan Cancer Care.

Kames Capital

Andy Kelly has been appointed business development manager of Kames’ London-based institutional sales team. Kelly will focus on introducing the company’s cash and liquidity solutions to corporate treasurers, pension funds, banks, and insurance companies.

He joins Kames from Legal & General Investment Management, where he was head of corporate and financial institutions. In his 27-year career, Kelly has worked in treasury-related roles for Fidelity International, RBC Dexia Investor Services, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, and Barclays.

Man Group

Lord Livingston of Parkhead was appointed non-executive director of Man Group in December following approval from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Subject to his reappointment as a director at the company’s 2016 AGM, Livingston will succeed Jon Aisbitt as chairman.

A serving member of the UK House of Lords since 2013, Livingston was previously minister of state for trade and investment between December 2013 and May 2015.
