PEOPLE MOVES: Cushon, Natixis IM, Phoenix Group

By Robbie Lawther, 25 Feb 22

Fintech pension and savings provider makes c-suite hire, as investment firm bolsters distribution team

Cushon

The fintech pension and savings provider has appointed Jo Bean as chief people officer.

Bean joins Cushon’s leadership team with over 20 years’ experience in HR and having held senior HR positions at Samsung Electronics UK and more recently at Thomsons Online Benefits.

Natixis Investment Managers

The firm has named Sophie Del Campo as head of distribution for southern Europe and Latam.

In her role, she will oversee Iberia, Italy, Latam and US offshore.

Del Campo was most recently head of Iberia, US offshore and Latam at Natixis Investment Managers.

Phoenix Group

The savings and retirement business has made changes to its board.

Chairman Nicholas Lyons has been nominated for the role of Lord Mayor of the City of London beginning in November 2022 for a one-year term.

Lyons will take a sabbatical from Phoenix Group commencing 1 September 2022 and will then return to his roles as chairman of the board of directors and chairman of the nomination committee in November 2023, subject to regulatory approval.

To promote clarity of leadership during his sabbatical, Lyons will formally resign from his roles on the board for the period of his sabbatical.

Alastair Barbour, currently the group’s senior independent director, will assume the role of interim chairman from 1 September 2022 for the term of Lyons’ sabbatical.

Karen Green will succeed Alastair Barbour as senior independent director beginning after the conclusion of Phoenix Group’s 2022 Annual General Meeting on 5 May 2022.

She is the chair of the board sustainability committee and the designated non-executive director for workforce engagement.

Also, Katie Murray has been named as an independent non-executive director with effect from 1 April 2022.

Murray is the group chief financial officer of the NatWest Group, a position she has held since January 2019.
