Boris Johnson has managed to cling on to power after being hit with a different scandal virtually every week for at least the last six months.

But his grip on 10 Downing Street is getting more slippery by the minute, with at least 27 resignations in less than 24 hours.

These include Rishi Sunak, quitting as chancellor of the Exchequer, alongside health minister and former chancellor Sajid Javid. As a result, education secretary Nadhim Zahawi has been promoted to chancellor.

John Glen, economic secretary to the Treasury, is among the  more recent members of the government to hand in his resignation, having held onto the role since January 2018, during Theresa May’s government.

The Swiss wealth management firm named Umang Papneja as chief executive of Julius Baer India, effective from 1 August 2022.

He will take over from Ashish Gumashta who will become executive chairman of Julius Baer Wealth Advisors (India).
