pioneer investments wins distributor licence

By Mark Battersby, 23 Oct 13

Pioneer Investments has gained a licence to do business directly with distributors in Taiwan.

Pioneer Investments has gained a licence to do business directly with distributors in Taiwan.

The approval for the licence has come through its subsidiary Pioneer Investment Taiwan, which has received approval from the country’s Securities and Futures Bureau to act a ‘master agent’ of its funds.

Promotion of Pioneer’s 21 registered funds through the licence was effective from October 15.

Jack Lin, head of Asia and Middle East at Pioneer Investments, said that the move was a  “natural step” given the size and scale of its business in Taiwan.

Pioneer formally marketed its funds in Taiwan through ING Securities Investment & Trust Co.
