Quilter Financial Planning adds SRB Financial Planning as strategic partner firm

By Beth Brearley, 9 Jul 26

The story of a young financial planner firm in South Africa

SRB Financial Planning has joined Quilter Financial Planning’s advice network as a strategic partner firm.

Based in Bellshill in Scotland’s central belt, SRB Financial Planning has approximately £250m of assets under advice.

The family‑run firm is run by Steve Brough and has three advisers supported by a six-person team across paraplanning and client services, delivering holistic financial planning to individuals and business owners.

The firm, which recently rebranded from SRB Wealth Management, was founded in 2010 and focuses on long‑term financial planning including retirement, investment and inheritance tax advice.

Warren Vickers, managing director of Quilter Financial Planning, said: “SRB Financial Planning is a well‑established, family‑run business that has built long‑standing relationships with its clients. That continuity, alongside a clear focus on delivering high‑quality financial planning, is exactly what we look for in firms joining our network.

“As firms reach this stage of development, having access to a robust platform, a broad investment proposition and operational support becomes increasingly important. Our strategic partner model is designed to provide that infrastructure while enabling firms to retain their identity and continue delivering advice in a way that reflects their values.”

Steve Brough, principal of SRB Financial Planning, said: “Choosing a new long-term home for our business and, more importantly, for our clients is the most significant decision we’ve made. We undertook a comprehensive review of the market, carefully assessing a number of potential partners before ultimately selecting Quilter.

“Throughout that process, it became increasingly clear that our clients’ expectations had evolved. We wanted a proposition that offered flexibility, high-quality investment solutions, modern technology, excellent operational support and a brand that complemented the personalised, client centric advice the team and I are committed to delivering.

He added: “Joining Quilter allows us to build on the relationships we’ve developed with our clients over many years, while giving them access to a broader range of solutions, a market-leading platform and the reassurance of being supported by one of the UK’s leading wealth management businesses.”
