Sargent, who was previously director in the Middle East for Coutts, will report to Valentina Tacchino, Kleinwort Benson’s head of private wealth management international.
“Sargent is a welcome addition to our team as we continue to respond to the needs of multi-jurisdictional families and institutions across the globe,” said Tacchino.
At Coutts, Sargent led a team of six and developed several key international markets across the Middle East for the bank as it opened up new offices and maintained strong links from London.
Kleinwort Benson head of private wealth management Stephen Rothwell added that Sargent’s appointment was the latest in a number of senior appointments at the private bank, which have been focussed on developing its international client base alongside its existing UK focus.
