Scam wealth firm attracts attention of Luxembourg regulator

By Robbie Lawther, 28 May 19

It is not authorised to provide financial or investment services in or from the country

Luxembourg’s financial watchdog, the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF), has warned investors about a website which claims to offer wealth management and alternative investment services.

The watchdog said the entity is not regulated by the CSSF and has not been granted any authorisation to provide investment services or other financial services in or from Luxembourg.

The firm presents itself under the name of ACM and claims to be located in the Gasperich area of Luxembourg City.

It is unknown if the regulator is investigating the firm for investors.

The warning comes a few days after Belgium’s Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) issued a warning over online adverts that use enticing images of vintage wines to lure potential victims to part with their cash on the promise of unrealistic returns.
