Schroders appoints head of Europe product

Schroders has appointed a head of Europe product and manager solutions to oversee its product management and strategy in Europe.

Schroders has appointed a head of Europe product and manager solutions to oversee its product management and strategy in Europe.

In the newly created role, Henriette Bergh will report to Nico Marais, head of multi-asset investments and portfolio solutions.

She will also have a functional reporting line into Justin Simler, global head of product management for multi-asset.

Here role will not include the UK.

Bergh joins the company from Morgan Stanley & Co International, where she held the London-based role of head of sales, private wealth management for Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

During her seven years at the company, she was also head of manager selection strategies, private wealth management.

She was also executive director, global manager strategies, at Goldman Sachs Asset Management.

On the appointment, Marais said: “[Bergh] will work alongside our senior fund managers in London and Zurich, to enhance the investment service we provide to our clients.”

Last week, Julie Dean resigned from Schroders, announcing that she will leave the company at the end of September.

Following her exit, management of the Schroder UK Opportunities Fund and Luxembourg-domiciled Schroder ISF UK Opportunities Fund will be taken on by Matthew Hudson.

Schroders said: “The board of Schroder UK Growth Fund has agreed that the business cycle investment team will continue to manage the company’s portfolio in accordance with its current investment policy and objective for the immediate future.”
