Senior departure from Globaleye

By Kirsten Hastings, 13 Feb 19

Top-level change at Dubai-headquartered financial advisory firm

The managing director of Globaleye in Singapore has left the business after eight years, International Adviser can exclusively reveal.

Byron Murphy joined the firm in January 2010 as vice president – financial advice for expatriates.

He was promoted to managing director of the Singapore operation in May 2016, before stepping up to the role of managing director (global) in October 2017.

It is not yet known what Murphy’s next role is, but IA understands that it will likely be in Singapore.

In an interview in 2016, Murphy described the city state as “still a honeypot, but only if you are a bee and not a wasp”.

IA reached out to Globaleye for a comment, but did not receive a response prior to publication.
