Soundardjee replaces Eric Wormser who the company said will be appointed in another senior position within the group.
Based in Dubai, Soundardjee will report to Slawomir Krupa, CEO of Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa for corporate & investment banking, private banking, asset management and securities services.
Societe Generale said Soundardjee will be tasked with further developing its businesses and presence in the Middle-East and in the Gulf countries in particular.
