Rudolf Wolff has named Sophie Hime sales manager, a new position created as a result of the company’s recent and planned expansion.

Hime will be responsible for developing the fund management company’s family office and institutional businesses.

Prior to joining Rudolf Wolff, Hime, who is Danish, worked in international development for several years, including for such charities as the SMILE Appeal, Action Aid International and Save the Children.

Previous to this she spent four years as a sales supervisor at Statoil A/S.

She will be based at Rudolf Wolff’s London headquarters.

At Rudolf Wolff, Hime joins Charles Cantlie, who, as reported, was named sales director earlier this month, and who will also be involved in growing the company’s family office and institutional businesses.

Rudolf Wolff dates back to the 1860s in London, when it was a German metals merchant, then known as Rudolf Wolff & Co. That company went on to become a founding member of the London Metal Exchange in 1877.

Today it is best known to many investors for its flagship Rudolf Wolff Income Fund. The fund is domiciled in Bermuda and invests in building society, insurance and bank debt.
