Balancing act

The advancement of platform technology and the new efficiency in which we interact with our finances can add real value to our product proposition.

However, we need to balance this convenience with the need for truly relevant underlying product structures that can be adapted to meet the ever increasing range of client needs.

In simple terms, the tech platform should not be the tail wagging the product dog but they need to be intertwined.

While this is already happening to some extent, with more product wrappers appearing on platforms it is vitally important that the merits of both are considered to address the rapidly evolving needs of consumers and the business realities advisers face now and in the future.
