UK advice firm buys Midlands-based company

By Robbie Lawther, 8 Mar 23

Acquirer will now have two offices across Britain

Stourbridge-based advice firm PD Private Client has acquired Wolverhampton-based Peter Moore Wealth Management for an undisclosed sum.

The deal will give PD Private Client a second office in the UK. Peter Moore WM will take on the PD Private Client branding.

The firm said in a Linkedin post: “As our practice has grown over the last few years, it has always been important to us to maintain and, where possible, improve the levels of service for existing clients and be able to offer new clients the same opportunity.

“We have been ever mindful of the importance of expanding and enhancing the services we provide to our clients and with that in mind we have completed the acquisition of Peter Moore Wealth Management Limited who, in our opinion, have always operated with the same standards, ethics, culture and vision for the future, as ourselves.”

Both firms are St James’s Place partner companies.

The deal comes several days after International Adviser reported on another SJP partner firm bolstering its offering via acquisition. The advice arm of Scottish law firm Gilson Gray bought Edinburgh-based Sarah Hughes Wealth Management for an undisclosed sum.
