UK financial planner moves headquarters to Birmingham

By Robbie Lawther, 14 Nov 19

Firm says it was a ‘logical choice’ and the city has become a ‘major attraction for large businesses’

Succession Wealth has left its Plymouth headquarters in the south west of England.

It has opened a national office in Birmingham, which houses some 60 wealth planners and client support staff along with members of the senior leadership team.

The firm is developing offices nearby the headquarters in the midlands city into the Succession Wealth National Training and Conference Centre.

Nationally, the firm now has 15 regional offices, employing 460 staff, including 175 wealth planners.

This comes after the firm bought Investors Planning Associates for an undisclosed sum and said it is “actively looking at large, quality financial advice firms for acquisition”.

Thriving place

Paul Millar, regional partner of Succession Wealth in Birmingham, said: “Birmingham has grown to become a major attraction for large businesses and their employees.

“Its programme of infrastructure and transport improvements makes it a thriving place to do business and a logical choice for our new head office.

“We are a nationwide firm with offices all over the UK.

“We wanted an HQ that reflects our standing in the UK professional financial planning sector and positions us right in the heart of the country.

“We have a clear strategy for sustainable growth and development, and I am enthusiastic about the new opportunities this move represents for the Succession Wealth.”
