Comegys will relocate to Vanguard’s Australian head office in Melbourne, taking over the regional role from Gregory Davis, who is returning to Vanguard’s Pennsylvania headquarters to serve as the global head of Vanguard’s fixed income group.
Comegys will be leading Vanguard’s team of 53 investment professionals in Australia.
Comegys has been with Vanguard for 14 years, handling different investment and leadership roles in the US. He currently leads the exchange-traded fund trading and index analysis teams, which are part of Vanguard’s Equity Investment Group that manages 79 portfolios and US$1.3trn in assets, the company said.
Pennsylvania-headquartered Vanguard Group has offices in Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan. Globally, Vanguard manages more than US$2.75trn in mutual fund, separately managed account and exchange-traded funds.
