Waystone names Alan Burke as chief people officer

By Editorial Staff, 21 Aug 24

The hire comes as Waystone’s business increases to over 1,700 staff across more than 20 offices globally

Waystone, a provider of specialist services to the global asset management industry, today appointed Alan Burke as chief people officer (CPO).

With more than 20 years of international experience in driving organisational success through people management initiatives, Burke (pictured) will lead the HR team and be responsible for shaping and implementing Waystone’s global people and culture strategy to support business objectives.

The hire comes as Waystone’s business has increased to over 1,700 staff across more than 20 offices globally.

Throughout his career, Alan has served in human resources (HR) leadership positions at large international companies in the financial services industry.

Most recently, Burke has been consulting at Vistra as they transform their HR function. Prior, he had a long-standing career at Citco, working in several senior roles. This included global head of talent acquisition where he was responsible for the hiring and effective workforce planning across the company; as well as the global head of HR business partners/operations where he led a team of 75 staff based across 35 countries in delivering organisational change through HR initiatives.

Sanjiv Sawhney, group CEO at Waystone, said, “We are delighted that Alan is joining our Waystone team. His extensive international experience, people first approach, and strong track record in leading HR functions and transformational change to achieve positive results will be valuable to our growing global business.”

Burke said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Waystone as its Chief People Officer and playing a part in the continued growth of the business. Waystone’s people are instrumental to the company’s and our clients’ success. The company’s commitment and focus on making Waystone an even greater place to work, where our global team can continue to excel, progress their careers and deliver service excellence to our clients, is hugely exciting.”
