Wealth solution providers join forces to bolster LatAm offering

By Robbie Lawther, 15 Jun 20

Strategic alliance will allow both firms to grow their offerings

Investment and wealth planning solution distributor The AMCS Group has created a strategic alliance with private placement life insurance solution consultant Southeast to expand their offerings in Latin America.

The alliance aims to combine the distribution reach of The AMCS Group with the expertise of Southeast to implement wealth planning tools for Latin American families.

The AMCS Group, founded in 2018 by Andrés Munhó and Chris Stapleton, has offices in Miami and Montevideo and focuses on the distribution of investment and wealth planning solutions in the US offshore and Latin American markets.

The firm has already partnered with Axa Investment Managers and Merian Global Investors.

Southeast, founded in 2010 by Alex Bermúdez, advises family groups in Chile, Peru, Ecuador and Mexico on the implementation of estate, protection and wealth planning solutions.

Grow important hub

Santiago Costa, director of Southeast, said: “It is an important alliance that allows us to continue to grow our presence in Miami as a main wealth management hub and at the same time access other key financial centres such as Texas, New York and California.”

Munhó, managing partner of The AMCS Group, said that the alliance allows the firm “to continue to grow the breadth of solutions and added value” that it delivers.
