The hires include Desmond Soon who has joined as portfolio manager from ST Asset Management, credit research analyst Swee Ching Lim, Wontae Kim who joins as portfolio analyst and Desmond Fu who joined as portfolio analyst from APS Komaba.
Chia-Liang Lian, head of investment management, Asia (ex-Japan), said: “These appointments add significant expertise to the Western Asset investment team and greatly strengthen the breadth and depth of our offering to better meet the rising demand for Asian fixed income expertise from investors globally.”
