US asset manager Oppenheimer targets EMEA with Dublin Ucits

New York-headquartered asset manager OppenheimerFunds, has named former Alliance Bernstein director Doug Stewart to spearhead distribution across Europe, the Middle East and Africa for its newly launched Ireland-domiciled Ucits platform.

New York-headquartered asset manager OppenheimerFunds, has named former Alliance Bernstein director Doug Stewart to spearhead distribution across Europe, the Middle East and Africa for its newly launched Ireland-domiciled Ucits platform.

The launch of the OppenheimerFunds Icav will initially comprise three sub-funds covering global value, global equity and developing markets, which debuted last week.

Prior to joining OppenheimerFunds, Stewart spent 14 years with AllianceBernstein, most recently as managing director, EMEA client group, responsible for client relationship management, team monitoring and expansion in Institutional markets.

As the London-based head of European, Middle East and Africa distribution, Stewart will report to Steve Paddon, head of institutional & international at OFI Global Asset Management, a subsidiary of OppenheimerFunds serving institutional investors and consultants across the world.

Prior to joining OppenheimerFunds, Stewart spent 14 years with AllianceBernstein Limited, most recently as managing director, EMEA client group, responsible for client relationship management, team monitoring and expansion in institutional markets.

Paul Eisenhardt, head of international distribution ex-EMEA, is responsible for the distribution of international solutions and developing client relationships in Canada, Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region. Eisenhardt also reports to Paddon.
