Based in Hong Kong, he will be in charge of representing Asian investment solutions to institutional clients, distributors and wealth management clients.
Oyens, who has more than 15 years of investment management experience, will lead a team of investment specialists providing an interface between BNPP IP’s Asian investment centres, customer relationship managers and clients globally.
Prior to joining BNPP IP, he was a Hong Kong-based managing director at Harvest Global Investments, focusing on global business development.
Oyens' experience includes mutual funds, structured products, alternative investments and over-the-counter derivatives.
BNP Paribas Investment Partners managed total assets under management of EUR473bn ($640bn) as of September-end.
