Industry leaders join Hilbert’s structured products panel

By Mark Battersby, 13 Jan 16

Specialist structured products firm Hilbert Investment Solutions has attracted two top industry figures to its newly established advisory board of “industry leaders”.

Specialist structured products firm Hilbert Investment Solutions has attracted two top industry figures to its newly established advisory board of “industry leaders”.

The two long-standing industry practitioners, Adrian Neave and Graham Bentley, between them have over 70 years of investment experience.

Neave was the founder and managing director of structured investment business Gilliat Financial Solutions.

Bentley, the former Old Mutual Wealth proposition head, now runs consultancy firm gbi2 to advise asset managers, advisers and distributors on investment marketing.

Paris-based Hilbert Investment Solutions was established in 2012 by former Old Mutual head of structured products Steve Lamarque to specialise in cross asset, structured solutions covering equities, rates and commodities.

Lamarque said: “As partners we have an exceptional knowledge and understanding of the structured products market, however good governance suggests that we need some independently minded and experienced industry leaders who can offer different perspectives as we develop our business.”

Bentley said structured products are “a valuable investment tool for financial advisers given the ability to tailor them for the specific needs of clients”.

Neave said: “The regulatory environment for structured products is developing positively from the consumer perspective. Therefore, it is a good time to develop a business that not only seeks to be wholly aligned with the principles being set by the industry and regulators – but can take forward the principles being established in order to create a sustainable business.”

Hilbert Investment Solutions is regulated in the UK by the Financial Conduct Authority.
