The American firm, which has operations around the world, said it has also appointed Meshal Jaber Al Faras as head of the Middle East to be based in the new office in the Dubai International Finance Centre.
Al Faras joins the company from Royal Capital in Abu Dhabi where he was head of Gulf Corporation Council business development. Prior to that he was a director at Natixis Global Associates and spend a decade working at the Kuwait Investment Authority.
Augustus Cheh, president of Janus Capital International said: "This marks an important step in our growth as it fulfils one of our key strategic initiatives for the business in adding depth to our activities in the Middle East."
The new office marks the fifth new office for Janus Capital International this year, withy it having opened in The Hague, Frankfurt, Paris, and Zurich.
