Santander Private Banking has appointed Jonathan Williams to the new role of head of intermediaries.

Based in Jersey, Williams will be tasked with developing the bank’s intermediary business and building new relationships with intermediaries in the trust, corporate services and wealth management sectors.

Williams joined Santander in June this year from Barclays Wealth in Jersey where he was responsible for the international and offshore relationship businesses for the company.

A company spokesperson said the bank is looking to not only expand its business with Jersey residents by also into the UK non-resident market.
