Jersey’s Enhance Group to open Asia office

By Drew Wilson, 15 Jul 15

Jersey-based investment and wealth consultancy Enhance Group said it will open a Singapore office to tap into the growth of private wealth across Asia.

Jersey-based investment and wealth consultancy Enhance Group said it will open a Singapore office to tap into the growth of private wealth across Asia.

Co-founder Richard Sayers will relocate to Singapore from the firm’s base in Jersey to head the office, which will open in August.

“Many of our existing clients have offices in Asia and many more have opened or acquired offices in the region in the last couple of years,” Sayers said.

The firm’s core business in Asia will be investment oversight for trustees and fiduciaries, as well as investment portfolio reviews and “ensuring suitability of strategy and the correct portfolio or fund manager is in place”, he said.

The client base is professional trustees and fiduciaries, which includes trust companies, private banks and family offices.

Sayers said there is increasing need for professionals in trust and fiduciary management in Asia.

“The trust sector is relatively young in Singapore however it has enormous potential to grow as the wealth creation and demographics increase demands for planning.

“There is also demand for investment oversight services coming out of Hong Kong following recent modernisation to its trust laws.”

The Enhance Group has £20bn ($31bn) in assets under review across 12 jurisdictions and has offices in Jersey, London and the Cayman Islands, according to the firm.
