Impending pension changes the hot topic at II Connect 2024 – The UAP Group

By Gary Robinson, 17 May 24

This session promises to be “both revealing and informative”

Impending international pension regulatory changes within the industry and how to thrive in the aftermath, will be the hot topic in the session being showcased by The UAP Group, at II Connect 2024 next Thursday

The Third Annual II Connect 2024 event will take place on Thursday May 23, in just under a week, at the Cavendish Conference Centre (Hallam) in London’s Marylebone/West End.

The UAP Group session which takes place in the morning at the event will be introduced by one of the industry’s most popular figures UAP Group’s James Floyd, followed by a presentation by Managing Director Robert Shipman, pictured above. Regulation is a moveable feast and staying ahead of the curve  is important, something that the company believes it has an edge due to its technical expertise and having a regular ongoing dialogue with the regulatory bodies.

The session will also include a segment that outlines what UAP states as the multiple uses for international pensions.

“We are extremely happy to welcome back The UAP Group to our third annual event,” II Publisher Gary Robinson, pictured left speaking at last year’s II Connect event, said. “The company has been with us from the first event and it has been fantastic to watch them continue to grow across this last three years both organically and by acquisition.

“James and Rob are doing a great job building the business, but its foundations are built on technical expertise. “This session promises to be both revealing and informative as the international pensions industry prepares of the next level of changes coming down the pipes.”

The event will continue its innovative and highly participatory format with the popular live on-stage case study returning and some pertinent speaker/sponsor sessions from Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management, Canada Life, Finance Isle of Man, Marlborough, QB Partners, UAP Group & Block Asset Management.

Also among themes at this years event a particular highlight is set to be an on stage debate where the very existence of cross border advice is questioned by a panel featuring some key names from within the biggest advisory companies. The keynote is prominent political and former Labour frontbencher Lord Hutton.
