PEOPLE MOVES: Waverton IM, Brooks Macdonald, Cazenove Capital

CEO named at investment manager, while wealth firm announces two promotions and a departure

Waverton Investment Management

Nick Tucker has been hired as the firm’s chief executive, subject to regulatory approval.

He will take on the top job on 10 February 2020.

Tucker was the managing director and head of UBS’ domestic wealth management business in the UK for nine years.

Brooks Macdonald

Robin Eggar has been promoted to managing director, head of UK Investment Management (UKIM).

Having been with Brooks Macdonald for nearly 20 years, Eggar was previously co-head of UKIM alongside John Wallace who is leaving to join a Hampshire-based IFA after 15 years at the wealth firm.

Lastly, Alick Mackay, who has served as a strategic consultant to the chief executive for over two years, has been promoted to director of strategy and corporate development.

Cazenove Capital

The UK wealth management business of Schroders has made four hires.

Julian Bailey and Anthony Marsh join as portfolio directors from Edmond de Rothschild, and will be responsible for advising UK residents and entrepreneurs.

Chris Hogarth and Rob Hodgson have been recruited as wealth planning director and wealth planner, respectively.

Hogarth was previously at UBS, while Hodgson joined from Maymont Wealth.

Gam

Charles Naylor has been appointed global head of corporate communications and investors relations, effective from 3 February 2020.

Based in London, he will be part of the senior leadership team.

Naylor was previously interim head of corporate affairs and marketing at Puma Energy.

Money & Pensions Service

The UK’s Money and Pensions Service (Maps) has named Caroline Siarkiewicz as permanent chief executive.

She has held the role on an interim basis since June 2019.

Butterfield

The Bermuda-headquartered bank and wealth management firm has recruited Jane Pearce as group head of trust, subject to regulatory approval.

She was previously the regional managing director for Vistra’s UK, Ireland and Channel Islands business.

Pearce replaces Bob Moore who will retire after more than 22 years at the company.

Additionally, Paul Hodgson has been promoted to deputy group head of trust, and Lindsay Ozanne will succeed him as managing director of Butterfield Trust (Guernsey).

Ozanne was formerly deputy managing director.

EY

The auditing firm has promoted Aine Slater to head of tax in Jersey.

She joined the firm in 2005 as a tax consultant.

Enhance Group

The former head of consultancy at Enhance Group, Ruzhen Li, will take on the role of head of advisory at the firm.

She has relocated to Jersey from London to lead both the portfolio and consultancy services.

Additionally, she will take on the role of managing director for Enhance Wealth Consultancy and join the group’s executive committee.

Sanne

The provider of alternative asset and private client administration services has made two senior promotions.

San-Marie Greeff has become head of Sanne Group (Luxembourg) and Christian Hertz head of Lis – a third-party Ucits management company part of Sanne.

JM Finn

The UK-based firm has hired Clare Julian as a wealth planner.

She started her career as a paraplanner in 2006 and has worked at Brewin Dolphin and Cazenove before taking a career break in January 2019.
