Two former executives of Statewide Super who were terminated by the fund and charged with dishonesty offences have been acquitted.
The jury acquitted former Statewide chief risk officer Kieran Francis Netting and former Statewide chief financial officer Grant David Eastwood of all charges on 7 October 2025 and 15 October 2025, respectively.
Eastwood and Netting were terminated for alleged breaches of internal controls and were subsequently referred to the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) for investigation.
ASIC alleged that Eastwood and Netting dishonestly used their positions in dealings with Cosight, a firm used to provide services to Statewide.
The pair pleaded not guilty and were acquitted following a trial in the District Court of South Australia.
