Sipp specialist rolls out on-demand CPD service

By Robbie Lawther, 12 Aug 20

It is fully accredited by the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment

Curtis Banks has unveiled a CPD on-demand hub to offer advisers the opportunity to top up their continuing professional development learning and knowledge at a time that suits them.

Following a recent series of webinars, and in response advisers who have been unable to attend the live sessions, Curtis Banks has created an online hub where all of the latest webinar sessions can be accessed.

These include:

  • Sipp opportunities – explore the opportunities and flexibility offered;
  • Technical focus – exploring benefit crystallisation events, court cases and complaints, lifetime allowance, pension commencement lump sums; and
  • Meet the Joneses – a series looking at intergenerational planning focusing on case studies from a fictional family, showing the flexibility that pensions allow across the generations.

Each webinar qualifies for 30 minutes of CPD and is fully accredited by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).

Once the CPD on-demand session is complete, there are a short number of questions related to the content in order to gain the emailed CPD certificate.

Create real-life content

Jon Haslam, head of sales at Curtis Banks, said: “We know it is important for advisers to keep their knowledge and skills up to date. The content on our new CPD on-demand hub is fully accredited by the CISI and will help advisers evidence their continued learning and development on pensions topics.

“We wanted to make sure that all of our CPD on-demand content was available to advisers at a time that suits them, rather than having to attend live sessions that may not fit within their business schedules.

“Our aim is to create content that is clear, understandable and includes examples of real-life client situations.”
