FEIFA (Federation of European IFAs) has teamed up with Tax Innovations (TI) to support their members with overseas tax expertise.
The non-profit trade association – which already has partnerships with a wide range of firms, including international life companies, asset managers, and key international pension and trust companies – said TI will also provide members with specialist planning for clients who are non-UK residents but own UK property.
FEIFA CEO Paul Stanfield said: “More broadly, FEIFA members can approach TI with UK tax questions concerning internationally mobile individuals, expatriates and non-UK residents.
“This can be a useful resource for when investment and other strategies are being developed or providing a second opinion on clients’ UK tax positions and the effect taxation might have on such events as pension transfers and asset preservation.”
The relationship with FEIFA will be headed up by Simon Griffiths, founder and director at TI.
“FEIFA members often advise clients with UK property or other UK connections, but the tax position can be difficult to navigate from overseas,” Griffiths said.
“This partnership gives those advisers direct access to specialist UK tax expertise, helping them deal with these questions confidently while remaining at the heart of the client relationship. We look forward to working closely with FEIFA members and becoming a trusted source of support whenever their clients’ circumstances raise a UK tax issue.”
