Praemium adds Sparrows Capital MPS to platform

By Cristian Angeloni, 6 Oct 20

The 11 factor tilted model portfolios are now available to financial advisers in the UK

Praemium has made the Sparrows Capital SCore model portfolio service (MPS) available on its platform.

The low-cost range was rolled out by the investment firm in February this year.

The MPS comprises of 11 factor tilted model portfolios “designed to deliver enhanced market returns as efficiently as possible”, Sparrows Capital said.

The offering is available to all UK-based financial advisers using the Praemium platform.

Fees are set at 0.1% a year, capped at a maximum of £20 ($26, €22) per underlying client per month.

Focus on value for clients

Sparrows Capital’s head of adviser proposition John Bennett said: “Since launching the SCore MPS suite, we have seen strong interest from advisers in this low-cost investment solution.

“We are adamant that the fees charged for an MPS should not be tied to the size of a client’s portfolio, but most platforms lack the technology required to cap client fees.

“Praemium provided a solution immediately. As price-disruptors, Sparrows Capital and Praemium are a natural partnership.”

Yariv Haim, chief executive of Sparrows Capital, added: “In offering model portfolios to investors at a market leading price point we are democratising an institutional-quality investment approach.

“This allows advisers to deliver dependable outcomes and unquestionable value to their clients.”

The SCore MPS suite is also available via Transact, Ascentric and 7IM, as well as through Intelliflo as an advisory toolkit, Sparrows Capital said.
