HSBC

The banking giant has made several changes to its global wealth unit with the creation of regional chief investment officers.

Fan Cheuk Wan will become chief investment officer of Asia for private banking and wealth management.

Patrick Ho, James Cheo, Jonathan Sparks, Belal Khan and Jose Rasco will take on similar roles for north Asia, southeast Asia, UK and Channel Islands, Mena and Europe, and Americas, respectively.

Succession Wealth

The UK financial planning and wealth firm has hired Peter Coleman as chief commercial officer.

He will oversee financial planning, platform and investment services across Succession Group and Succession Advisory Services.

Coleman joins from Wealth Wizards, which has been acquired by mutual insurer Royal London on 2 March, where he served in a similar position.

Additionally, the firm confirmed to International Adviser that chief client officer Sarah Lord has resigned from the company in February 2021 after over a year in the role.

She currently serves as president of the Personal Finance Society.

Nedgroup Investments

Tom Caddick has become head of investments for the multi-management division in London.

He was previously chief investment officer at Santander Asset Manager, where he worked for 10 years.

Caddick will succeed Andrew Yeadon, who is retiring after spending nine years at Nedgroup Investments.

Generali

The Italy-headquartered insurer has made several changes to its c-suite.

Francesco Martorana, who was chief executive of Generali Insurance Asset Management, will become group chief investment officer of Assicurazioni Generali.

Bruno Servant, chief investment officer of Generali France and head of group investment management solutions, has been promoted to chief executive of Generali Insurance Asset Management, replacing Martorana.

Tim Rainsford will take on the role of chief executive of Generali Investment Partners, effective from 15 April, while continuing in his position of global head of sales at the firm, which he took on in September 2020.

Zedra

The global provider of wealth and fund services named David Rudge as managing director for Active Wealth in the UK.

He joins from Vistra UK, where he spent the last 13 years in a similar role.

MSCI

The global support provider for the investment sector has promoted Kazuya Nagasawa to head of Apac client coverage, based in Singapore.

He was previously head of north Asia client coverage at the firm.

Nagasawa will oversee MSCI’s sales, client relationship management and client services in the region. He takes over from current head Jack Lin, who will be leaving the company to pursue other opportunities.

Senior portfolio manager Jeremy Ward has left the private bank after eight years.

He will return to New Zealand to join wealth management firm Jarden as global equities research director.
