European life company CEO dies

By Cristian Angeloni, 10 Jan 23

Antonio Corpas passed away following an accident in December 2022

The chief executive of Luxembourg-based OneLife has died at the age of 54, the life insurer announced.

Antonio Corpas joined the business in 2008 as head of tax and legal and group general counsel and took the top job in April 2018, just before OneLife was sold to France-based Apicil Group in August that year.

The insurer said he was involved in an accident in late December 2022, after which chief operating officer Elio Fratini was named chief executive ad interim.

No further details were disclosed.

“The whole OneLife team is united in this very sad time,” the life company said. “All our thoughts are with his family and his friends.”
