3 Things all offshore expat IFAs should know about their clients returning to the UK (repatriates)

By International Adviser, 17 Jan 23

IIMG and Peregrine and Black announce strategic partnership to enable each company to expand its footprint globally.

This partnership is a milestone in IIMG’s strategy of providing clients with seamless advice as they move around the world and presents opportunities for P&B to expand its offering internationally. The new partnership will seek to obtain further licenses as part of its overall business plan of expansion globally. Peregrine & Black have been appointed as the MPS partner after proving sustained good performance.

The partnership will continue to offer the highest standards of advice and adheres stringently to the principles of TCF.

Craig Holman, a senior IIMG adviser, now working under this alliance with Peregrine & Black in the UK stated: “This is a fantastic opportunity for both clients and other overseas advisers to ensure continuity of advice as and when they return to the UK. We would expect many other international advisers to be interested in exploring the possibilities of working with the IIMG, Peregrine & Black partnership”.

Philip Gent formerly Director of Jupiter Asset Management and now CEO of Peregrine & Black states: “We see this as a positive move for Peregrine & Black to expand into the offshore space. We have been primarily UK focused with many of our clients dating back 30 years when we first began at Coutts. This is an exciting development and gives us good international exposure via our valued partner IIMG. We feel are many other groups out there that would benefit similarly with their clients returning to the UK”.

Patrick Ralph CEO of IIMG states: “IIMG has 100s of internationally mobile clients and is constantly striving to ensure that we can provide them with continuity no matter where they reside. This partnership is a huge step on our journey as it enables us to provide ongoing service and advice to those of our clients who return to the UK. Since the start of the Covid 19 pandemic we have seen more and more expats returning to the UK. This was an issue that we needed to resolve, but finding the right partner was crucial to this and I believe that Peregrine & Black are the perfect fit for IIMG and its clients. They have a phenomenal track record”.
