IFA group makes triple M&A swoop

By Robbie Lawther, 20 Mar 23

Advice company has exchanged contracts on a further 11 deals

UK-based advice business Perspective Financial Group has completed three acquisitions with the purchase of Huddersfield-based HNH Financial Services, Cardiff-based Gould Financial Planning and Whitstable-based Financial Choices IFA.

The financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.

The deals create two new office locations for the group – Huddersfield and Cardiff – taking its total to 26. Financial Choices IFA will become part of Perspective’s existing office in Maidstone.

The acquisitions have added a further 760 households as clients and £515m ($628m, €588m) in assets under management.

In addition, Perspective said that it has exchanged contracts on a further 11 deals which will all complete in the coming months.

Ian Wilkinson, chief executive of Perspective, said: “We have our biggest ever pipeline of acquisitions, both large and small, and relish the opportunity to grow further at scale and pace.

Perspective has been built around a culture of putting our clients at the centre of our decision making process to ensure that we always deliver good client outcomes, as far back as our beginning in 2007. We always put ourselves in our clients’ shoes first and foremost, so our vision and core values are perfectly aligned to the incoming Consumer Duty, as though the new Principle was written to match our entire ethos.”

Perspective has now made four acquisitions in 2023 following its first deal of the year in January, when it purchased Buckinghamshire-based Ian J Hunt Chartered Financial Planners for an undisclosed sum.
