Coral adds to management team following

23 Oct 14

Coral Portfolio has appointed Adell Nair-Grepinet to head the Global Student Accommodation fund team.

Nair-Grepinet joins Coral from Jones Lang LaSalle where she managed the AUB UK Shariah compliant Student Fund. Before managing the Shariah fund, Nair-Grepinet led the global investor research and market team at JLL, with a specialisation in the field of hotel investment.

In her new role, she will have direct responsibility for the Coral Student and Prime Portfolios.

Coral’s chief executive, John Kennedy said “her experience at the helm will ensure optimal returns for investors as we respond to the huge opportunities ahead”.

Andrew Smith has also joined Coral from CBRE where he had worked closely with Coral Portfolio.

Coral is now represented by three regional directors: Giles Boeree in Asia, Craig Johnson in MENA and Paddy Allen in Europe. There are four Coral regional offices in Luxembourg, London, Hong Kong and Dubai.

Global Student Accommodation Group completed a purchase of a 50% stake in Coral Portfolio in May.

At the time, GSA said the acquisition will give it management of additional investments valued at around $200m, including the Luxembourg domiciled SICAV, the Coral Student Portfolio.
