Kreston to become pension schemes administrator

19 May 14

Kreston has received approval from the Isle of Man Insurance and Pensions Authority to become a registered pension schemes administrator.

Kreston has received approval from the Isle of Man Insurance and Pensions Authority to become a registered pension schemes administrator.

Kreston Pensions, as the company will be known, will offer international retirement plans for individuals and companies.

Chief executive of Kreston IOM, David Pope, said: “This is an essential market place for our business to be active in. Participation in pensions increased in 2013 for the first time since 2006 and represented the largest rise since records began.

“Generally, individuals are able to freely move from jurisdiction to jurisdiction and the freedom of movement of capital has eased dramatically over the last two decades.

“Our approval is the first of a number of new developments we will be delivering to the marketplace in 2014/15.”

In April, Kreston IOM appointed Tanya O’Carroll as its director of client services.

The company said O’Carroll is responsible for managing and enhancing its client services teams and developing her intermediary contacts in order to grow the business.

O’Carroll has over 15 years’ experience in the international fiduciary industry in the areas of client services, business development and acquisitions and mergers of businesses.

Kreston IOM is the Isle of Man’s representative of Kreston International, a network of accountants and business advisors with 700 member firms employing over 21,000 staff in over 105 countries.
