Société Générale Private Banking has named new chief investment officers in both its London and Luxembourg offices.

Eric Verleyen is Société Générale Private Banking’s new CIO in London having worked in Luxembourg for Société Générale Bank and Trust in Luxembourg since joining from HBL Luxembourg in 2005. He joined as head of discretionary management responsible for the development of bespoke portfolio management for ultra high net worth individuals.

Two years ago his responsibilities grew to include advisory managed activities before becoming chief investment officer in charge of discretionary and advisory management teams as well as product offerings.

His role as CIO in Luxembourg will be taken on by Alexandre Cegarra and between them they will both run investment strategy, including asset allocation and product development, in their respective geographies.

Cegarra joined Societe Generale Bank & Trust Luxembourg in 2005 as head of equity portfolio management, becoming head of discretionary portfolio management in 2009.
