Mauritius FSC warns against investment manager for false claims

By International Adviser, 10 Sep 15

A warning has been issued by the Financial Services Commission in Mauritius against Bank Capital Investment Management.

A warning has been issued by the Financial Services Commission in Mauritius against Bank Capital Investment Management.

The investment manager claimed it is in possession of an ‘investment dealer’ licence for commodities and derivatives, which it said had been issued by the FSC in December 2013.

However, the island’s financial watchdog has warned investors that the company is not and has never been licensed by the FSC.

The body therefore urged the public to be cautious when dealing with Bank Capital.
