Barrett will be based in OMGI’s Edinburgh office and report to Allan MacLeod, head of international distribution at OMGI.
Barrett has a great deal of industry experience and his appointment will enable us to better service the unique needs of clients in the Middle East and Nordic regions,” MacLeod said.
In his new role Barrett is responsible for expanding OMGI’s distribution in the Middle East and the Nordic regions, and will be aiming to build a broader range of clients, including wealth managers and global financial institutions.
Barrett has over 20 years’ experience working in the Nordic region, and joins OMGI from Martin Currie Investment Management, where he worked from 2004, most recently as director, international sales and client service.
The new appointment follows OMGI’s move to hire Dominic Issler as head of Germany, Austria and Switzerland in April 2015.
