Knut Pedersen has been named to succeed Johan Ericsson as president and chief executive of Catella, the Stockholm-based, Nasdaq OMX-listed independent financial adviser and asset manager.

Knut Pedersen has been named to succeed Johan Ericsson as president and chief executive of Catella, the Stockholm-based, Nasdaq OMX-listed independent financial adviser and asset manager.

Ericsson will remain in the role until the end of this year, and after that, will continue with Catella  in “a senior operational role”.
Most recently Pedersen has been managing director of ABG Sundal Collier in Sweden, an arm of the Oslo-based ABG Sundal Collier investment bank, where he was been responsible for ABG’s global markets unit.

Prior to joining ABG Sundal, Pedersen has worked for such companies as UBS, Nordea and Öhman in various roles in Sweden and internationally.

Catella is a provider of specialised financial services and products, and is active in 12 countries in two operating segments: corporate finance and asset management. It employs around 430 people. Countries in which it has offices include many in Scandinavia and Northern and Eastern Europe, including, in addition to Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, France, Germany and Luxembourg.
