VAM appoints Asian development manager

3 Aug 15

VAM Funds has appointed a regional business development manager for Asia to support its push in the region.

VAM Funds has appointed a regional business development manager for Asia to support its push in the region.

Jason Humphreys, who previously worked as an adviser in Malaysia for more than a decade, will be responsible for business development and client relationship management across South East Asia.

Nigel Watson, sales director at VAM Funds, said Humphrey’s appointment will give the company a permanent local presence in Asia, where he will be able to utilise his existing experience and contact.

“It’s very important to us to have good quality and experienced sales people on the ground in the regions and correct time zones in which we operate.

“Humphrey’s joins at an exciting time for VAM Funds and we expect to expand our regional distribution capabilities further owing to strong inflows and interest in our funds from Asia-based investors.”

The news forms the latest part of a busy 2015 for VAM, which has seen it form a partnership with Close Brothers Asset Management and obtain a licence to operate in South Africa.
