Neuberger Berman appoints new MENA head

Independent investment manager Neuberger Berman said it had appointed Jahangir Aka as head of Middle East & North Africa to be based in Dubai.

Independent investment manager Neuberger Berman said it had appointed Jahangir Aka as head of Middle East & North Africa to be based in Dubai.

Aka, joins from asset managers SEI Investments Co, where he was since 2006, most recently as head of the Middle East. Prior to his years at SEI, Jahangir spent eight years at Standard Chartered Bank in roles across Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
German-based Neuberger Berman, founded in 1939, said Aka brings extensive experience of working with the region’s leading institutions; sovereign wealth funds, pensions, family offices and wealth management businesses.
“The investment capabilities at Neuberger Berman have proven appeal in the region and I look forward to continuing to build on this success.” Aka said.
Neuberger Berman had $250 bn (£162 bn) in client assets under management as of December 31, 2014.
