Hobbs was head of Generali International until January 2009, when he became responsible for the Generali Group’s global innovation network and strategy across 60 countries.
Debbie Le Noury was the person who succeeded Hobbs at that time, having previously been chief financial officer for the Generali Worldwide Group.
The appointment follows an announcement by deVere in May that it had put together an executive committee for its European operations, as part of a corporate move to “raise standards throughout the region”.
