Based in London, Wood will report to Henry Fischel-Bock, managing director and head of Central & Eastern Europe and offshore Africa.
Wood joins Barclays from JHX Management where he was responsible for establishing key relationships to drive business in Africa. Prior to this he was chief executive in the investment bank of First City Monument Bank in Lagos and has held senior roles at Credit Suisse, Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch.
