OBSR drops two Artemis International funds

27 Jun 11

OBSR has removed two Luxembourg-domiciled Artemis International funds from its service.

OBSR has removed two Luxembourg-domiciled Artemis International funds from its service.

The Artemis International Global Equity Fund and Artemis International Pan European Equity Fund are part of Artemis’ Luxembourg Sicav and both previously held ‘AA’ OBSR ratings. The funds are managed using the firm’s SmartGARP quantitative investment process which has delivered a sustained period of poor performance.

OBSR said this extended period of poor performance had led assets under management within both funds to fall to a sub-optimal level. Furthermore, while the agency said it continued to believe in the long-term merits of the SmartGARP process, it believes the combination of poorer performance in the short term the small size of the funds’ will limit their ability to regain their previous size.
