The as yet unnamed person is set to take up this role in November “as soon as regulatory procedures are completed”, the company stated.
As a result of the review managing director for Asia Jane Fung is leaving the company “to pursue other opportunities”, the company added.
Fung has spent over 12 years at Old Mutual Global Investors, and Warren Tonkinson, head of global distribution said she had made a “valued contribution” over that period.
Tonkinson will be responsible for distribution in Asia until November 2013.
Old Mutual Global Investors has been present in Asia for over 10 years with over $500m of assets currently managed for the region’s clients, and almost a 1% share of the Taiwanese market working through Capital Gateway, the Master Agent.
