In Gary Ballance and Steve Smith, both England and Australia have quality players, I was tempted to go for Balance, just so I could choose a Balanced fund and revel in the pun, but sadly Smith, who is at the peak of his powers right now, tips the scales.

Like Smith, Yarrow is just coming fully into his own. He is consistently makes the lists of new funds to watch and has seen a sharp jump in assets under management in recent months. Having recently got a five year track record, the fund’s long term numbers are strong. Year to date, however, he hasn’t had quite as good a time of things.
